OVERVIEW: Often overlooked in pursuit of fickle trout, fiesty Smallmouth Bass are one of New Hampshire's most exciting yet underappreciated gamefish species. Join us as we host NH Fly Fishing Guide Dave Kolesar for a FREE one-hour presentation showcasing warm water Smallmouth, as he leads us on a virtual fly fishing journey down the Merrimack and Androscoggin Rivers! Free to any and all who wish attend, this informative session will discuss some of Dave's most reliable launch points for float fishing, and will identify locations ideally suited for wading anglers too. With plenty of insight on prime water levels, when to go, and what flies to use also shared along the way; Dave will also demonstrate tying a few of his favorite and most trusty bass patterns immediately after the presentation for any interested as well. Join NH fly fishing guide Dave Kolesar for a smallmouth bass fishing journey down the Merrimack River. The Merrimack is a broad river formed by the meeting of the Pemigewasset and Winnipesaukee rivers. While this river gets stocked with trout it is much better as a smallmouth bass destination. The Merrimack is best fished from a boat but there are also accessible places for wade fishing. We’ll also take a quick look at the smallmouth bass fishing on the Androscoggin River in northern New Hampshire.
GOAL: At the end of this FREE presentation, attendees will leave with a better understanding of how, when, and where to successfully target Smallmouth Bass on the fly on our local NH warm water rivers.
