INTERMEDIATE FLY TYING CLASS - INTRO TO EUROPEAN NYPHING FLIES with Nick Proulx

OVERVIEW: Join us as we host Nick Proulx of Northern Water Guide Service for an afternoon of fly tying followed by a short presentation covering the basics when it comes to tight line nymphing. This class will focus on tying some of Nick's most productive flies used when fishing throughout northern New Hampshire and beyond.
GOAL: At the end of this class, students will be able to tie a selection of euro flies for trout and salmon, and be able to identify when, where, and how to fish them based on reading the water they are faced with.
PREREQUISITES: A basic level of fly tying experience and skill is required for this class. Please bring your own personal vise and equipment, though a vise and tools can be provided if needed with advanced notice. All materials will be provided during this class.

About The Instructor Nick Proulx has been a licensed fly fishing guide, and fly tying instructor in the state of New Hampshire for the past nine years now, and recently became licensed with the state of Maine. Nick brings 30 years of experience targeting trout and salmon from central to northern New Hampshire. Growing up in the Lakes Region, Nick spent a lot of time learning and fishing his home waters before venturing north to Pittsburg where he and his family now reside full time running Northern Water Guide Service providing wade, drift, and fly fishing schools throughout the fishing season. Nick is also the vice president of the Pittsburg Anglers Association and an elite pro member for Sage and Rio.
